Julia Whitehouse and Sophia Glock are sisters, mothers and artists who make each other laugh. Julia (older, redheaded) is a comedian and writer in New York City. She hosts a weekly open mic, Happy Hour Story Hour, at The Duplex Cabaret and a monthly comedy storytelling show at the Upright Citizens Brigade called Top Shelf Stories. Sophia (younger, but taller) is a cartoonist and author of the graphic memoir Passport. They are in competition only to see who can be rack up more Modern Love submission rejections and understand in a fundamental way that they cannot do anything without the other.
