M'Balia Singley

M’Balia Singley(she/her) is a singer-songwriter and musician who has spent the last 20 years excavating the human condition through story and song. She has toured extensively in pop and jazz combos, and she can be heard on John Legend’s debut album, “Get Lifted.” In 2020, she performed her one-woman show, Turn, an exploration of growing up Black and woman in America mapped against Shakespeare’s Othello. A graduate of Yale University, M’Balia will begin pursuit of her Master’s in Social Services at Bryn Mawr college in the fall of 2021.
