Marnie Galloway is an award-winning cartoonist and artist best known for her Xeric Award winning wordless graphic novel In the Sounds and Seas, as well as the comics BurrowParticle/Wave, and Slightly Plural. Her comics have appeared in Best American Comics, The New York Times, PEN America, Cricket Magazine, and Saveur Magazine. She formerly served as an organizer of the Chicago Alternative Comics Expo (CAKE), and currently teaches comics at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, makes science comics for kids every issue of Ask Magazine, and is working on her next graphic novel.
