MUTHA-Decade: It’s an Art Party

Going to AWP in Seattle in March? Already in Seattle or anywhere nearby, because this is nifty enough you want to get here?

MUTHA is throwing an art party to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the magazine.

It’s a double-header comics night out at the Fantagraphics Bookstore and Gallery in Georgetown, co-organized with Fieldmouse Press and MUTHA Magazine. First up, a conversation between indie cartoonists MariNaomi and Megan Kelso. Then celebrate MUTHA-Decade, with an opening reception (drinks and eats!) of a curated exhibit of originals and prints from the radical parenting zine’s comics pages, including Eisner nominated and Ignatz winning works from artists Rina Ayuyang, Tyler Cohen, Leela Corman, Robyn Jordan, Kate Lacour, Lisa Lim, Rachel Masilamani, Mardou, Keiler Roberts, and Lauren Weinstein.

Meg Lemke and Cheryl Klein will introduce the exhibit and featured artists will be in attendance! Plus Georgetown (and this fab punk rock comics bookshop) is worth the trip on its own. See you there.
