Thursday / September 29th

Readings, theater, comedy, and comics (read live on projector screen!) featuring the awesome line-up of Emily Flake (New Yorker and Mama Tried), Ariel Gore (of Hip Mama and The Wayward Writer), Cheryl Klein (celebrating her debut memoir Crybaby), Lisa Lim (MUTHA comics regular!), Jessica Phillips Lorenz (previewing the play The Best Party Ever), Jade Sanchez-Ventura (Home is Where… series), and Lauren Weinstein (Normel People and Mother’s Walk)–with MUTHA EiC Meg Lemke and Pen Parentis director M. M. De Voe emcee’ing this laugh until you cry cocktail hour event on the vagaries of obtaining and raising babies when the world’s on fire.

Cash bar, good company, the place to be for parent-writers at BKBF–the official Pen Parentis meet-up spot. Bring your burning parenting questions and we’ll pose them to these creative folks on stage…
